Warum haben wir nicht früher darüber geredet? Häufig führen falsche Annahmen zu großen Fehlschlüssen. Selbst wenn es nur darum geht, die Fähigkeiten bei einem Tippspiel zu bewerten. Die Gefahr lauert überall.
Vor Jahren habe ich in meiner Firma an einem klassischen Bundesliga-Tippspiel teilgenommen. Mein Vater tat das gleiche in seinem Unternehmen. Wir waren beide leidenschaftlich dabei, denn es geht in dieser Art von Wettbewerb um Ehre und Anerkennung im Kollegium.
Nach etwa zehn Spieltagen saßen wir bei Kaffee und Kuchen beisammen und verglichen unsere Punktestände.
Ein Paukenschlag und völlige Ratlosigkeit
Er lag deutlich vor mir – und war sichtlich zufrieden, denn er hatte seine ganze Erfahrung ausgespielt. Ein Tippspiel gewinnen, das zählt was unter eingefleischten Fußballern und Sportbegeisterten. Auch seine Kollegen auf den vorderen Plätzen waren deutlich vor meinen Mitspielern.
Das hat mich frustriert und an meinem Selbstbewusstsein genagt. Erstens, weil man als Sohn seinen Eltern generell zeigen möchte, dass man es draufhat. Auch wenn es nur um Fußball geht. Zweitens, weil man sich als jahrelanger Hobbyspieler von Sportwetten beweisen möchte, dass man nicht nur den Sport, sondern auch das System dahinter versteht.
Was sollte ich tun, wie damit umgehen, welche Änderungen vornehmen?
Erst ein halbes Jahr nach besagtem Gespräch offenbarte sich mir des Rätsels Lösung: Es gab zwei unterschiedliche Modi (wohlgemerkt: beim selben Anbieter). Ein System mit 4-3-2-Punkten (bei meinem Vater) und ein 3-2-1-Punkte-System (bei mir). Das heißt: Jedes Spiel, bei dem wir gleich gut tippten, bekam er einen Punkt mehr als ich.
Ende gut, alles … gewonnen
Darüber hatten wir natürlich nicht gesprochen. Wir gingen beide von der Annahme aus, das gleiche System zu spielen. Und haben in dieser Unwissenheit eine unausgesprochene Erzählung geschaffen: Mein Vater, ein wahrer Meister mit jahrzehntelanger Erfahrung als Fußballfan. Und ich, der Sohn und Lehrling.
Am Ende landete er in seiner Tippgemeinschaft irgendwo im oberen Mittelfeld. Und ich gewann 160 Euro als Erstplatzierter von 14 Kollegen – also doch gar nicht so schlecht. Ein Tippspiel gewonnen zu haben, war eine tolle Erfahrung.
Lösung: Auch logisch scheinende Annahmen sollten auf ihren Wahrheitsgehalt abgeklopft werden. Wenn nur leise Zweifel aufkommen, sollten die Mühen einer Recherche nicht gescheut werden. Denn die Dinge aufzudecken, kann für den sozialen Frieden (siehe Vater-Sohn-Ding) ungemein wichtig sein. Und für das eigene Ego (hihi).
